At least 25 people were killed on Wednesday when a fuel tanker exploded in central Ghana, according to a foreign news agency correspondent who counted the bodies at the scene. About 40 others were injured, many of them seriously, in Techiman town in the central farming region of Brong-Ahafo, some 400 kilometres (250 miles) northeast of the capital Accra.
