Our Staff reporter ARIFWALA - A consultative meeting of the Bounded Labour Liberation Front Pakistan (BLLF) was held at its site office in Mohalla Ghulam Mohammad Town here the other day. As per detail, the Bounded Labour Liberation Front Pakistan has launched a project with the name Support Social Protection and Decent Work (SSP&DW) for brick-kiln workers (bhatta mazdoors) in two districts - Lahore and Pakpattan. The project has been initiated in collaboration with the European Union and ActionAid. The meeting chaired by Project Coordinator Miss Sobia, was attended among other by Social Mobiliser Mohammad Hanif Jatt, Social Mobiliser Mohammad Shabaz and Social Mobiliser Misbah Noor. On the occasion, objectives of the project were discussed in detail and the participants were enlightened about the aims and goals of the BLLF to ensure welfare and prosperity of the brick-kiln workers. The project coordinator explained that the BLLF under the project provided legal aid, raised healthcare awareness like use of toilets, technical education, health facility, free education for workers children and help them entitle to all incentives being offered under the social security by the government. She said that the project also envisaged creating awareness among workers to struggle for their rights and bringing all the key stakeholders to a single platform to ensure rights of the labourer.
