OUR STAFF REPORTER RAHIM YAR KHAN Aggressive passengers beat the Station Master and damaged PRACS office as well as different stalls at Khanpur Railway Station over the failure of a locomotive. As per details, when Karachi-bound Zikraya Express reached Jhetha Bhutta Railway Station, 12 kilometres away from Khanpur, its engine failed due to technical fault on Thursday night. After one and half hour when Quetta-bound Jaffar Express reached the station its engine was attached with Zikraya Express and departed for Khanpur. At Khanpur Railway Station, passengers of Zakriya Express protested and demanded a new railway engine for the train. But railway station administration denied on which passengers turned aggressive and beat Station Master Muhammad Ramzan Rahi and Assistant Station Master. Passengers entered PRACS computer room of and broke the furniture and different stalls on the station. Railway police reached the spot and controlled the situation. Later Zikraya Express departed for Karachi with the railway engine of Jaffar Express after three hours delay. On the other hand station master Muhammad Ramzan Rahi filed an application against unidentified passengers.
