LAHORE The first of RAK Airways two weekly flights to Lahore arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport and welcome by Pakistani dignitaries and officials. RAK Airways, a national carrier of the UAE, recently added Peshawar and Lahore to its growing route network, offering two flights a week from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, says a press release. RAK Airways recently celebrated the first anniversary of its re-launch. The carrier began operations in October 2010 with two routes- over the last twelve months the airline has focused on extending its route network across the GCC, Indian sub-continent and North Africa; now operating to 10 destinations. Senior RAK Airways officials were met by a delegation upon arrival at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Following the reception RAK Airways hosted a trade event for Lahores travel trade industry and Civil Aviation Authorities at a local Hotel. CEO of RAK Airways Omar Jahameh said, the launch of RAK Airways Pakistan flights is in keeping with our commitment to expand our route network and further enhance our high-value offering to our customers.
