Antonio Banderas was crazy to work with on the new Shrek spin-off film Puss in Boots, according to Salma Hayek. The Oscar nominee, who is long-standing friend of the Spanish actor, said the two had great chemistry while working on the animated film. Hayek, 45, played Kitty Softpaws alongside Banderas, who took on his famous role of Puss in the Shrek series. Theres never a dull moment with Antonio. Just when you think youre becoming bored of him, he becomes crazier, she said at the films UK premiere in London. Banderas also paid tribute to his on-screen partner and said: She was great. She is someone that I love we have been friends for over 18 years so the whole ride was different. It is the sixth time the pair have worked together and Hayek said her first animated film was a big hit with her four-year-old daughter Valentina. It couldnt have come at a better time because now I have my daughter, she said. She loves it. Its very exciting for her being on tour with us and seeing everything. Sometimes we have the stuffed animals walking around. She added: She loves being around Antonio. Shes in love with him. Puss In Boots, which also stars Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton, opens in cinemas on Friday December 9. TG
