ISLAMABAD - Fast University cricket team thrashed Meida XI by a whopping 160 runs in the First Fast National University cricket match played here at Fast University ground. Fast skipper Bilal after winning the toss opted to bat first, as Fast hammered 254 runs in allotted overs losing 6 wickets. Skipper Bilal top scored with 62 while Mohib (54) and Ali (53) also hit half centuries. Mudassar Chaudhry took 5 for 40. Chashing a daunting target, Media XI were bundled out for a meager 94 runs. Only Media Xi skipper Adil Gill provided some resistance and made fighting 35 runs. Mustafa Mehdi took 4 for 15 while Bilal grabbed 2 for 35. Dr. Arshad Ali Shahid (Director FAST NU) was the chief guest on the occasion, while sports officer Aoun Abbas Hashmi, M Mumtaz and manager services along with others were also present on the occasion.
