ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif phoned Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Tuesday to convey his sympathy and condolences over the loss of lives in suicide attack in Paktika.

Before leaving for Kathmandu to attend the SAARC summit, the PM called Ashraf and conveyed deep sympathy and condolences over the loss of more than 50 human lives caused by a suicide terrorist attack on November 23 in Paktika province of Afghanistan.

While conveying Pakistan’s solidarity with the brotherly Afghan people, the Prime Minister expressed the confidence that through joint efforts Pakistan and Afghanistan would succeed in rooting out terrorism.

Later, he left for Nepal to lead the Pakistan delegation to the 18th SAARC Summit, being held in Kathmandu on November 26-27.
