Woman murdered over old enmity

LAHORE - A 55-year-old woman was found shot dead under mysterious circumstances at her house in Kahna on early Tuesday, police sources said.
Resident of Jhedo village, Amanat Ali, told the police that his wife Parveen Bibi was killed by Ali Akbar and his two other accomplices over old enmity.
Police sources say they were investigating the “claim” keeping in mind different aspects of the happening including the possible involvement of some family members of the deceased.
According to the complainant, the mother of three was sleeping in the bedroom when Ali Akbar, Shahid, and Babar forced their entry into his house by scaling the boundary wall. They pumped four bullets into her body before fleeing the crime scene.
Police investigators said the woman was lying dead in a pool of blood on a charpoy bed when they reached the spot. Police have also collected some evidences from the crime scene, which tell the other side of the story. “Hopefully, we will solve this murder mystery within days. We are working on some clues,” the investigation officer said.
Another police officer said that Amanat Ali had developed old enmity with Ali Akbar group and, early this year, Amanat group had killed two men of Ali Akbar group. “Therefore, we see something doubtful (in this murder case),” the officer told this reporter after visiting the crime scene. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.  The police have registered a murder case against Ali Akbar, Shahid, and Babar on the complaint of Amanat Ali, husband of the deceased. No arrest was made till Tuesday night.
