KP lawyers to observe strike tomorrow

PESHAWAR  - Lawyers across the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will observe a complete strike on November 27 against the construction of a park on the premises of Mardan district courts.

KPBC Administrative Committee Chairman Syed Zahid Jamal Advocate made this announcement at a press conference here on Saturday.

Syed Zahid Jamal Advocate, while criticising the provincial government, said that the decision of building a family park inside Mardan district courts must be taken back, otherwise, they would launch an agitation.

Syed Zahid Jamal also said that they would be left with no option other than to take an extreme step if the provincial government doesn’t withdraw its plan.

He said the KPBC has announced to observe a complete strike against the construction of the family park.

The strike is being observed to express solidarity with the lawyers affiliated with the Mardan Bar Association, he said.

Jamal Advocate maintained that no lawyer will appear in the court proceedings across the province to condemn the provincial government and showing solidarity with the lawyers’ community of Mardan that is strongly opposing the plan of the KP government to construct a family park on the premises of Mardan Kachehri.
