LAHORE: The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) launched two books of late Dr M A Sufi, a veteran of Pakistan Movement and a renowned dentist, titled “Muslim League and Pakistan Movement” and “I’m a lucky person”.

Those who spoke on the occasion were Vice Chairman of NPT Prof Dr Rafique Ahmed, Chairman of Pakistan Workers Trust Chief Justice (r) Mian Mahboob Ahmed, Ahmar Bilal Sufi, Aamir Kamal Sufi, Waleed Iqbal Advocate, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Rana Muhammad Arshad, Dr Parveen Khan and others. Justice (r) Mian Aftab Farrukh and Chief Coordinator of NPT Mian Farooq Altaf also attended the books launch ceremony.

In his written message, Chairman of NPT Rafique Tarar paid tributes to late Dr M A Sufi, saying that he was a true Muslim Leaguer and a patriotic Pakistani. –Staff Reporter

 He had devoted his life to the propagation of the teachings of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Madar-i-Millat Fatima Jinnah. Dr M A Sufi was a role model for the nation because of his patriotic approach and ideas and his books would prove a beacon of light for the young generation, he added.

Prof Dr Rafique Ahmed called him a courageous person who had never compromised on principles. He was a best speaker and writer and he always preferred to write in simple language.

Other speakers said late Dr M A Sufi was a man of commitment, a poet, a scholar, an institution, a true Muslim, a soft spoken person, a mystic figure, a contributor to Kashmir Movement and a multidimensional public figure.
