OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Following the alarming increase in incidents of armed robberies, banks dacoities and worsening law and order situation in the heart of Punjab, Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has expressed his displeasure over the poor police performance. A senior officer in the Punjab government told this reporter on Tuesday that the Chief Minister is very annoyed as the Capital City Police Officer Ahmed Raza Tahir and his entire team had badly failed to deliver. Requesting his name not be mentioned, he said the Chief Minister is likely to preside over a high-level meeting on law and order this week. He also claimed that the CM might consider 'strict action against the incompetent police officers. It is important to mention here that the CM Punjab had himself interviewed CCPO Ahmed Raza Tahir before appointing him on a key slot, expecting that his appointment would help decrease armed robberies in the City.
