PESHAWAR  - Condemning kidnapping of the Awami National Party former president Balochistan Abdul Zahir Kansi, ANP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter announced three days mourning and staged protest demonstration in Peshawar here on Friday.

On the third day of the kidnapping of Abdul Zahir Kansi, Awami National Party held protest rallies across the country and demanded immediate recovery of ANP senior Leader of Balochistan. In Peshawar, the protest rally was organised by National Youth Organization, which was led by Bashir Matta, Syed Aqil Shah, Khushdil Khan, Tariq Afghan and leader of National Youth Organization Hasan Khan Buneri and others. Holding banners and placards, the protesters chanted full-throated slogans against the government.

Addressing on the occasion, the protesters said that government has been failed to provide security to the Awami National Party workers as well as its leaders.

The protesters said that they are giving three days deadline for the safe recovery of Abdul Zahir Kansi and in case of failure they would stage violent protest rallies across the country. 

The protest rally was organised on the call of ANP interim president and Chairman Elections commission Haji Adil. He also strongly condemned the kidnapping incident and had given three days deadline for the recovery of his party leader.

He said that there is no name of government in the country and the country is ruled by miscreants and terrorist elements. He said that the government, which could not protect the lives and property of the masses has no right to rule the people.

He also criticized the performance of the government of Balochistan and said that despite airing the news of the kidnapping of Abdul Zahir, the Balochistan government was sleeping in deep slumber to avert this untoward incident.

Earlier to this Awami National Party senior leader Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has also expressed deep concern over the kidnapping of ANP leader Abdul Zahir Kansi and called Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch to take immediate steps for the early recovery of ANP former President.  The Awami National Party has also announced three days mourning over the kidnapping of Abdul Zahir Kansi.
