Corruption for judges 1,000 times haram: PHC CJ

PESHAWAR - Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan said that billionaires are involved in plundering the national assets, while each child of the nation has been indebted, unleashing the menace of corruption in the society.
Addressing a judicial officers' training workshop here Friday, the PHC CJ said that the courts were the last ray of hope for the people. He said if the dispensation of justice was deliberately delayed, “then we know how to set it in order.”
Justice Dost Muhammad Khan said, "If corruption is haram (forbidden) for the common man, then it is thousand times haram for the judges, as it has hollowed the country’s foundations while terrorism has done the rest."
The PHC CJ said that the courts were working in an organised way to control corruption. He said that the court was focused on changes at the provincial level.
