Poultry growth to double in 10 years

LAHORE - The Pakistan Poultry Association north zone chairman Raza Mehmood Khursand has stressed the need for enhancing agri produce particularly of those grains which are being used as poultry feeds, as the poultry growth would be almost doubled in next 10 years.
During a meeting with a delegation of Dupont at the office of Bigbird, Khursand pointed out that high poultry growth will require high production of food grains to be utilized in poultry feed.
The PPA delegation included Raza Khursand, FM Sabir, Dr Mustafa Kamal, Dr Abdul Karim Bhatti and Maj (r) Syed Javed Bukhari while Dupont team consisted of David Jacahi, Dr Asif Shah, Dr Ashraf and Dr Aftab.
The meeting discussed the issue of increasing yield of food grains and Dupont and PPA should play their role in maximization of agri produce in the country with a view to benefit the growers as well as the industry.
They viewed that both sides will take steps to attract farmers to adopt such scientific measures which can increase per acre yield of wheat and other food grains.
