PESHAWAR  - Candidates applied against vacant posts in FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) have expressed grave concern over the alleged violation of merit in filling-up various vacant positions.

Talking to media persons on Friday here at press club, an applicant for a position Fazal Malik, resident of Bajaur Agency informed that like other candidates he had also submitted his documents for a vacant position on May 21 last but despite lapse of several months no contact was made with him for any test or interview, whereas only 'blue-eyed' were called for direct interview in August last.

He lamented that like him several other tribal students, whom did come on criteria given for the posts, were neglected because of not having any political influence or back door contacts in the FDMA.

Malik also informed that in the month of August the government had also imposed ban on recruitments appointments but the FDMA authorities concerned took their blue-eyed on June 17, which was injustice with other candidates.

He also termed the FDMA this act as illegal and against the basic human rights of other deserving candidates. He also informed that he did file a writ petition in the apex court, which was accepted for hearing.

He demanded the government to take notice of the alleged illegal and in violation of merit recruitments in FDMA, otherwise threatened to launch a series of protest demonstrations against the authorities concerned.
