Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has stated that 200 army personnel, doctors, nurses and other medical staff are working in Naran, Waqt News reported.

The statement came following the ongoing snowfall crisis in the Naran-Kaghan region.

ISPR has further said that two helicopters will be sent to the region after the weather settles down. “500 blankets and other food and drinking items have been distributed among the people who are stuck there,” it added.

According to military sources 200 cars have been extracted from the snow-filled area and further rescue operation is ongoing.

The operation is underway because of sudden heavy snow fall in the Naran-Kaghan region because of which hundreds of tourists have been stuck there over the last few days.
