ISLAMABAD:– The government has undertaken a large number of energy-cum-irrigation projects to tap hydel resources across the country. According to the Ministry of Water and Power, about 12,000 MW hydropower projects are currently under process, a news channel reported on Saturday. Several feasibilities on the Indus River cascade are also underway for optimal utilization of its full potential. Besides, a number of irrigation projects have been initiated in all the federating units which are at various stages of development.–APP
