LAHORE - PTI Chairman Imran Khan yesterday directed party leaders in Punjab and Sindh to push up campaign for the first phase of local bodies’ polls to be held on October 31.

The PTI chief talked with party leaders in Punjab and directed them to focus on Lahore, the stronghold of the ruling party.

He directed them to correct their shortcomings of October 11th by-election in the provincial metropolis.

Khan will reach the provincial capital on October 29 to hold meetings with party leaders and personally check party preparations for a showdown with PML-N on the vote day.

The drive for local bodies election was witnessing a lull because of the first half of Muharram activities.

All mainstream political forces including religious parties almost halted local polls drive from the first of Muharram and were waiting for the 10th of Muharram to restart their election drive.
