MIRPUR (AJK)
Amidst high security, Youm-e-Ashur was observed with religious enthusiasm across Azad Jammu & Kashmir while the mourners in Held Kashmir were tear gassed and baton charged by the Indian troops in Held Kashmir.
However, they resolved to fight against all types of tyrannical forces, wherever they exist. The 10th of Muharram is a sanctified day in the universal history and unique icon of the supreme sacrifices made by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions for upholding of Islam, righteousness and justice.
The day dawned with special prayers by the faithful at all the mosques and Imambargahs on both sides of the LoC after Nimaz-e-Fajr. In AJK Alam, Zul’jinnah and Tazia processions were brought out from Imambargahs which culminated at their fixed spots after marching through their tradition routes in Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Haveili, Hattiyan, Kotli, Bhimbher, Bagh, Sudahnoti, Rawalakot and Neelam valley.
A large number of social, political and religious organisations established stalls of juices and water on the processions’ routes to facilitate the faithful across Azad Jammu & Kashmir. These organisations and Rescue 1122 also provided ambulances and fire brigade squad to go along the processions. Re-calling the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RS), Ulema and Zakireen during the course of the procession delivered speeches highlighting the great essence of the day.
Hence the struggle against tyranny initiated by Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) along with his companions is a shining minaret of humanity, patience, perseverance, courage and determination, they added.
They renewed their pledge to work for the progress and prosperity of the country. “On this day, we reiterate our resolve that no matter what the odds-we shall neither submit before tyranny and injustice nor let the evil-India-let its sway,” they said. They urged the people of all walks of life to rise above sectarianism and forge unity by dissociating themselves from all the elements fanning sectarianism and anarchy.
They said that keeping in view the message of this supreme sacrifice, which teaches us that tyranny, oppression and falsehood must be resisted no matter how heavy are the odds, the people of Jammu & Kashmir State will carry on their gallant struggle, till the day, they make India quit their sacred soil, by crushing the manacles of the ferocious Indian regime.
They added, “The best way to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala is to make a zestful pledge on this day to work and devote oneself not only for the affluence of Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir, but also for early freedom of the Kashmiri brethren.”
Youm-e-Ashur was observed in an ambiance of peace and tranquility across the Azad valley.
Meanwhile, the people of Held Kashmir faced a lot of complexities with almost a million armed Indian troops-hammering all-around. Reports, received from across the Line of control on Saturday spoke awful incidents whereby the Zuljinnah processions were obstructed in multiple vicinities including the capital city of Srinagar. India’s installed puppet state administration had imposed complete ban on taking out Muharram procession through imposing curfew besides resorting to violent police baton charge and tear-gas at the participants of a Muharram procession under strict prohibitory orders to the patrolling Indian occupying security forces including army, para military and the special police troops.
However, the chivalrous people thwarted such ploys of the enemy-with one voice instantaneously.
