Quetta - The meeting that was presided over by the prime minister yesterday in Quetta decided to convene the apex committee at 12:30 pm today (Wednesday) to review the situation arising out of the police college tragedy.

The apex committee meeting will be presided over by Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Sanaullah Zehri and attended by chief secretary, corps commander southern command, commander ISI, inspectors general of police and Frontier Constabulary and concerned executive elite of Balochistan. The meeting will look into series of claims of responsibility for the attack including Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Daesh and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

It seemed that a local terror group cooperated with Islamic State to plot the terror hit on the police training college.

Meanwhile, security at all the entry points to Quetta has been strengthened and each vehicle is being thoroughly searched in the wake of intelligence reports that next target could be airport facilities.
