Pakistan and Poland have discussed ways and means to enhance cooperation in diverse fields especially economy, trade, investment, energy, agriculture, science and technology, IT and defence. reported by Radio Pakistan.

The two countries had a comprehensive review of bilateral relations during 6th Round of Pakistan-Poland Bilateral Political Consultations that has concluded in Islamabad. 

The two sides deliberated on the emerging peace and security environment at the regional and global levels.

The Polish side was briefed on the human rights violations of Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.   

The Polish side was also apprised on Pakistan’s credentials for the membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group and the need for a criteria-based, non-discriminatory approach for new non-NPT states.

Meanwhile, talking to Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, Mr. Marek Magierowski in Islamabad, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua underscored the need for enhanced efforts to add greater context to bilateral relations.

The Foreign Secretary briefed the Deputy Foreign Minister on Pakistan’s gains in the security and counter terrorism areas, economic growth and strengthening of democratic institutions.  

She also highlighted Pakistan’s perspectives on challenges confronting the region, including the situation in Afghanistan.   

The Polish Deputy Foreign Minister reaffirmed the importance Poland attaches to its relations with Pakistan and agreed with the shared desired of the two countries to further expand cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, trade and investments.
