KARACHI - Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan (JAP) President Allama Abbas Kumaili on Friday demanded the government to take action against the NWFP government over their role of triggering the controversy on moon sighting issue in the country. Addressing a Press conference at Karachi Press Club, he backed the decision made by the central Ruet-e-Hilal committee about moon sighting, saying that neither a political party nor any provincial government has the right to interfere in the affairs of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee decision regarding the moon sighting. Maulana Hussain Masoodi, Allama Furqan Haider Abidi, Ali Ahmar and others were also present on the occasion. He termed the interference of ANPs NWFP government ministers in the affairs of Ruet-e-Hilal a violation of Constitution and demanded the federal government to take strict action against the NWFP government and their ministers for their role to divide the nation and spread the ethnic hatred in the country. Kumaili extended his full support to the noted cleric Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman saying that he has respectable for all religious school of thoughts. He said that the issuance of decree about moon sighting was the responsibility of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee not of ANP (NWFP) government, adding that ANP weakened the federation by supporting illegal zonal committee of Peshawar. He said that ANPs ministers were scoring political numbers through creating ethnic hatred in the country and demanded of the government to take strict action against those who were tend to divide the Muslims of the country. Kumaili announced that Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan will hold the Janaat-ul-Baqi and Tahafuz-e-Mazarat Conference on September 26 (today) at Shah-e-Khurasan to denounce the demolition of the holy shrines of Hazrat Fatima Zehra (AS), Ashab-e-Rasool (PBUH) and Umhat-ul-Momineen (RA). Holy places of Makkah and Madina are the centre of Muslims not the royal kingdom, he said. We are against those who destroyed the holy shrines of Hazrat Fatima Zehra (AS), Ashab-e-Rasoul (PBUH) and Umhat-ul-Momineen (RA).
