Rs15 million deposited in CMs relief fund

LAHORE Presidents PML-N- Middle East and United Arab Emirates Ch. Noor-ul-Hassan Tanveer and Ch Altaf Hussain met Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and presented him a cheque for Rs 10 million for the relief and rehabilitation of flood affectees. MNA Justice (r) Iftikhar Cheema presented a cheque of Rs 3.6 million, former MNA Mudassar Qayyum Nahra Rs 1m and Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan presented a cheque for Rs 0.5m on behalf of the people of his constituency to the CM, who praised the spirit of philanthropists in helping the flood affectees. So far more than Rs one billion have been donated to the fund, which will be spent on the construction of modern villages. Local youth will be included in the construction of villages so that they could acquire skills and support their families. Noor-ul-Hassan and Altaf Hussain also gave a donation of Rs 2m to a welfare organisation Akhuwwat. CH AAMER WAQAS September 25, 2010
