LAHORE - On the directives of Secretary Health Fawad Hassan Fawad, the Punjab AIDS Control Programme in collaboration with UNICEF and USAIDS, distributed 'treatment, care and support packages to AIDS patients of the flood affected districts. The packages were distributed at District Council Hall, DG Khan. The package comprised food items, blankets, bed sheets, medicines and travelling charges. The representatives of health department, Punjab AIDS Control Programme, UNICEF, USAIDS and DHQ hospital DG Khan were present on the occasion. The Punjab AIDS Control Programme has secured a grant of Rs4.8 million from United Nations for care and support for registered AIDS patients in flood hit areas. The grant shall be provided in two instalments. According to a press release issued here on Saturday, the written exam of MBBS, Second Professional (New Re-Organised Scheme), Annual Examination 2010 and MBBS Second Professional (Latest New Re-Organised Scheme), Annual Examination 2010 will commence from October 1, 2010 and conclude on October 7, 2010, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D), 1st Professional, Annual Examination 2010 will commence from October 1, 2010 and conclude on October 19, 2010 while Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D), 2nd Professional, Annual Examination 2010 will commence from October 15, 2010 and conclude on October 29, 2010.
