FAISALABAD/VEHARI-The Law Enforcement Agencies claimed to have nicked 10 suspected terrorists, planning subversive activities during Ashura-e-Muharram. The LEAs personnel also seized arms, explosives and maps during combing operation here the other night, reported a private TV on Sunday.

According to CTD sources, there were intelligence reports about terrorists, planning attacks at processions during Muharram. At which, the CTD personnel accompanied by an Elite Force contingent conducted an operation. The lawmen managed to arrest the 10 suspected terrorists and also recovered explosives, walkie-talkies, maps, fake number plates of cars, foreign currency, thousands of bullets and arms from their possession. According to the CTD, the suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

In Vehari, the police nabbed 25 outlaws and recovered huge cache of weapons during a crackdown here on Sunday.

According to the police, a heavy contingent of police on a tip-off regarding presence of criminals conducted a search operation in village WB/90. During, the operation the police recovered huge cache of arms and arrested 25 criminals involved in different criminal activities.

The police have registered a case against the arrested outlaws and started further investigation.
