PESHAWAR - The Bank of Khyber (BOK) reaffirms its commitment to play a vital role in socio-economic development of the country in general and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in particular, BoK Managing Director (MD) Shams-ul-Qayyum said this on Sunday.

Speaking at ‘Half Yearly Branch Banking Conference and Awards Ceremony 2016” held as a part of BOK’s silver jubilee celebrations (1991-2016), he said that BOK assets had reached Rs175 billion which showed the confidence of public in the bank, adding that the BOK was an A-1 rated commercial bank with a network of more than 130 branches serving the people in more than eight cities across the country.

He stated that for active participation in robust economic growth of the country, BOK team would have to touch much higher horizons with greater innovation and larger foothold in the banking industry.

“BOK, in first six months of 2016, has declared a profit of Rs1.021 billion after tax as on 30th June 2016,” he informed.

Moreover he further highlighted that the public has expressed its confidence in the services of the Bank as the deposit base of the Bank has considerably increased and was Rs. 146.02 Billion as on June 30. 2016.
