Imran seeks Bilawal support for ‘New Pakistan’

KARACHI -  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday asked Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to come out for ‘Naya Pakistan’.

Talking to media in Karachi, Imran Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was destroying the institution to hide his corruption but PTI would not let him escape. State institutions should provide justice to the people and situation will go worse if same practice continue. We are on roads against the corruption and the movement will go on until the accountability of the Prime Minister, he added.

He said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari should come out on the issue of Panama Leaks and put the stone of New Pakistan while PTI is ready to support him in this regard.

Talking about tension in Pakistan-India relationship, he said that Kashmiris were running independence movement against Indian atrocities.

He said that the path chosen by Indian Prime Minister Modi is not right as he talks about enhancing trade between both countries but also wants to isolate Pakistan from entire world.

PTI chairman said that organizational structure dissolved due to intra-party elections.

He also termed Karachi as political hub but said that experienced people have refrained from joining politics due to terrorism.

Declaring MQM founder Altaf Hussain as biggest terrorists, he said that people will see new changes in Karachi situation as Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has disowned Altaf Hussain. Imran Khan also said that judiciary does not need any NOC from the government for launching accountability investigation against Prime Minister.

Meanwhile PTI Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh talking to The Nation informed that Party Chairman Imran Khan has chaired a meeting of PTI Karachi Chapter and discussed the strategy of Raiwind March scheduled on September 30.

He said that Imran Khan has directed the Karachi Leadership to start contact campaign in Karachi and invite the people to participate in March against corrupt rulers. He said that that following the direction of PTI Chairman, party leaders including Dr Arif Alvi, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Imran Ismail, Faisal Wada, Khurram Sher Zaman and other along with the workers will distribute handbills of Raiwind March at Empress Market, Zainab Market, Saddar and Numaish Chowrangi on Monday.

PTI to submit resolution

 for probing Panama leaks

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Sindh Assembly member Khurram Sher Zaman on Sunday announced that the PTI would submit a resolution in the provincial assembly against federal authorities for not carrying out a probe into the Panama leaks issue.

He said that NAB and FIA should have initiated investigations against the people involved in this scandal and their silence over the issue despite clear evidences had raised serious questions on their credibility.

“Their silence on the issue gives a clear message that the institutions responsible for carrying out accountability process in the country were under the influence of the government.”

He said that they were hopeful that PPP and other political parties that had raised the issue in the national assembly will completely support their move.

“If PPP and other parties will not support us then we will be justified in understanding that these parties are making people fool and are on one page behind the scenes,” he said.
