ISLAMABAD:- Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme aimed at training unemployed youth in productive skills is continuing successfully. In the third phase of the programme, 25,000 jobless youth are being given training in different technical fields and they will pass out in Nov this year. Earlier, around 50, 000 unemployed youth were trained in different skills in two phases. Trainees are not only being imparted skills free of cost but each of them is also being paid a monthly stipend of Rs3,000 for six-month training period and Rs4,000 in case the trainee is from FATA.–NNI

National Vocational and Technical Training Commission has selected good quality training institutes, while the provincial governments select public institutes for the purpose.

Madaris graduates, with certificates and diploma equivalent to matriculation, are also eligible for training.
