RAWALPINDI: Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has said that wind of change is blowing in the education sector and it is endeavor of present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to increase maximum number of institutions with the objective to provide higher educational facilities to the talented students.
He stated this while addressing 16th Convocation of University of Engineering and Technology Taxila at Convention Center Islamabad on Monday.
He was of the view that technological changes in the workplace are occurring at such a rapid pace that any given state of preparedness can be absolute within not time. He further said that we are overwhelmed with information but lack in knowledge, skills, innovation and entrepreneurship. Our technological reliance should be based on our indigenous resources, whether they are intellectual or material. We should not hesitate in acquiring latest technical advancements from developed countries but simultaneously we should work to develop our own capabilities for sustainable development.
