Asian countries doing well economically: Japan CG

KARACHI (PR) - The Asian countries including Pakistan are doing well economically. This was stated by the Consul General of Japan in Karachi, Masaharu Sato. He was speaking at a dinner hosted by the Chairman of the Pakistan Japan Business Forum (PJBF), Abdul Kader Jaffer. The new Consul General of Japan praised the role being played by the PJBF to help enhance the trade and economic ties between Pakistan and Japan as well as further strengthening friendly ties between the two countries. He also assured his cooperation towards further cementing the close bilateral relations of Japan and Pakistan and spurring the economic activities between the two countries. He further pointed out that the PJBF was playing a significant role in the realms of economy and trade. The Senior Vice-Chairman of PJBF, Masaharu Domichi, who is also the out-going General Manager of Mitsubishi Corporation in Pakistan, spoke of the economic potential in the country. He was of the view that by improving further good business practices, the pace of growth can be accelerated. Abdul Kader Jaffer in his speech welcomed the new Consul General of Japan in Karachi. He hoped that Sato would help further improve the diplomatic relations as well as the bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Japan. Jaffer also lauded the services rendered by Domichi as the senior vice-chairman of the PJBF and as the general manager of Mitsubishi Corporation in Pakistan.
