ISLAMABAD Punjab College of Information Technology (PCIT), Rawalpindi has won the Rawalpindi Board Inter-Collegiate Boys Sports Championship 2010 by securing 50 points. Member National Assembly (MNA) Hanif Abbasi graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and distributed prizes among the players of different colleges. Member Punjab Assembly, Ziaullah Shah, Secretary Rawalpindi Education Board Professor Humayun Iqbal, Director Punjab College of Information Technology Rawalpindi Naveed Islam, Principal PCIT Muhammad Khalid, Director Sports Rawalpindi Education Board, Raja Tasleem Kiyani, Director Sports PCIT Haifz Muahmmad Aslam and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion. During the event, PCIT won the Basketball, Badminton, Kabbadi, Volleyball, Football and Hockey competitions while in Swimming, Squash, Tennis, Cricket and Athletics secured the second position. Danish Mehmmod, who represented Punjab College of Information Technology, was declared the best athlete of championship with 20 points. On the occasion, Punjab College of the Information Technology Rawalpindi Director Naveed-ul-Islam congratulated Principal Muhammad Khalid, Director Sports Hafiz Muhammad Aslam besides other players for winning the tournament and becoming champion.
