LAHORE - The Lahore High Court on Tuesday disposed of a petition filed to challenge the Diplomatic and Consular Privileges Act (1972) after the petitioner had withdrawn it following the acquittal of CIA contractor Raymond Davis. Davis was arrested in a double-murder case, and during the case hearing against him the vires of the Act had come into consideration. Justice Ch. Iftikhar Hussain, during the proceedings of the case, observed that Raymond Davis, who had brought immunity laws into the limelight, has left Pakistan so there is no case left in the petition.
