OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Lahore Whites and Rawalpindi Royals cruised into the National Seniors Cricket Cup Regional final after winning their respective matches at various grounds. Lahore Whites defeated Askari Green Rawalpindi by 40 runs in the first semi-final here at the LCCA ground. Batting first, Lahore W posted 254 runs. Salim Malik scored 81 runs. Ghafar (61), Ahmad (31) and Raza (38) also played well. M Fayyaz grabbed 3/48 and Maqsood Asmal got 2/26. Askari Green Rawalpindi could manage 214 runs with. Raza Butt (52), Irfan Bhatti (42), Masood (39) batted well. Ahmad and M Riaz got one wicket each. In the second regional semi-final at Ali Garh ground, Rawalpindi Royals beat SPM by four wickets. SPM Stags scored 217/7. In reply, Rawalpindi Royals chased the target for the loss of six wickets in 29.5 overs.
