LAHORE - The Opposition in Punjab Assembly does not seem to be in a mood to convene another session after the one requisitioned by it was prorogued by the Acting Speaker the same day. An earlier session also lasted for one day. Assembly sources said that Opposition has decided not to submit any new requisition for convening the assembly session reportedly after assurance from the government that it will summon the session on May 9. PPPs Deputy Parliamentary Leader Shaukat Mahmood Basra said that there was no use of submitting a fresh requisition if the Speaker convenes the session after 14 days when the government itself wanted the assembly to be in session to take up official business.
