Islamabad- Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said that the government has formulated a comprehensive strategy to reduce load-shedding during summer.
The State Minister said 1500-megawatt additional electricity will be generated by June this year. The Minister said load-shedding will be restricted to six to eight hours during the summers. He said the government is giving a subsidy of two hundred and twenty six billion rupees to poor consumers.
The Minister said a transmission line from Iran to Khuzdar is being laid to import electricity from neighboring countries. Abid Sher Ali said Pakistan will have no load-shedding by the end of this government’s tenure.
