Tickets funded for foreigners languishing in Pak jail

LAHORE - Lahore High Court Women Prisons Committee (WPC) Zaib Rehman Saturday paid for air tickets for two Tanzanians languishing in Kot Lakhpat for the past two years.
Tanzanians  Umar Ali Suleman and Muhammad Arshad Zakki were jailed over overstay in Pakistan.
Zaib Rehman made up her mind as she visited the jail where she came to know their plight. Suleman and Zakki are scheduled to leave for their homeland on May 7 by Oman Airs.
Talking to The Nation, she reiterated her resolve to conineiu with cause for reforms and said that such prisoner would be provided with financial and legal help.Separately, CIA police Saturday claimedto have arrested two smugglers and recovered weapons from them.
Noor Muhammad Khan and Mirza Khan were nicked when they were entering to Lahore from Peshawar near Suggian Bridge. During search of their vehicle 12 guns, 28 pistols magazines and 28000 rounds were recovered.
