Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain says that a draft bill to establish Pakistan Halal Authority will be presented in the Parliament soon.
Addressing the 'D-8 Experts Group Meeting on Halal Sector Development' in Islamabad today, he said that the Authority would promote imports and exports, trade and commerce with foreign countries and inter-provincial trade and commerce in Halal articles and processes.
The Minister said that non-Muslim countries are also taking interest in Halal products. He said all the Muslim counties should now focus on export of Halal products since that will not only boost the economy but also create job opportunities.
