Talal Akbar Bugti died of cardiac arrest

Quetta: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) leader Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti passed away today morning from cardiac arrest, in Quetta's Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

Sources in the family said that the Baloch leader's health condition started to deteriorate on Sunday night. He was shifted to CMH for treatment. According to JWP Secretary Information Gul Manak Baloch, he was admitted to CMH Quetta because of breathing problem.

In the hospital, he suffered a heart attack, which proved to be fatal. According to doctors, Bugti had been suffering from asthma since a long time. At the hospital, Bugti suffered a heart attack which led to his demise.

Belonging to a political family, Talal took control of the party after his father's death and became known as an important leader from Baluchistan. A large number of JWP supporters reached Bugti House to see their leader's body, before burial.

Talal Bugti was born on March 17, 1952 in Dera Bugti. Talal Akbar Bugti was the son of former governor of Baluchistan and chief minister Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti. Talal Akbar Bugti received his education from Aitchison College and Punjab University, Lahore and was considered to be a significant political personality in Baluchistan.

He has three sons Shahzain, Goram and Chakat Bugti.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed sorrow and grief over the demise of Talal Bugti. The Prime Minister prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace and gives the courage to the bereaved family, to bear this loss with fortitude. He appreciated the services of Talal Bugti for stability of democracy. He also lauded his services for carrying out development work in his area. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker and Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly have also condoled the death.
