ISLAMABAD - A man was shot dead over land dispute in Jhaagh Village of Mandra, informed sources on Monday.

The body of deceased was taken to hospital by police for autopsy where he was identified as Jahanzeb Saddar, they said. 

Police registered murder case against two alleged killers and started investigation, sources said.  There are reports that the two alleged killers surrendered before police investigators.

According to details, Wasim Safdar, a resident of Jhaagh Village, lodged complaint with Police Station (PS) Mandra stating that he purchased a piece of land measuring 2 kanals and 6 marlas. 

He mentioned the two persons namely Muhammad Younas and Muhammad Pervaiz, sons of Meharban of Dehya have objection over this deal and they had uprooted concrete blocks fixed by the applicant from the said land. 

He said he along with his brother Jahanzaib Safdar visited the land to stop them from destroying the wall of blocks. On this, Muhammad Younas shot dead Jahanzeb Safdar and fled from crime scene. The applicant asked police to register case against accused and to arrest them.

Police filed murder case against Muhammad Younas and Muhammad Pervaiz and started investigation.
