Man dies in train accident in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi-The body of a man was found on the railway tracks near Bilal Chowk at Gulzar-e-Quaid.
The railway police reached at the spot and also alerted Rescue 1122 which sent the unidentified body to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) in Raja Bazaar, informed a rescuer on Tuesday.
According to him, the eyewitness told Railway police that a man was moving on railway track while listening music when a speeding train hit him. Resultantly, the man suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot.
The railway police mentioned occurrence of incident in daily crime register, he said.
Meanwhile, a huge fire erupted in forests of Kahuta.
Scores of fire-fighting teams of Rescue 1122 rushed to the area to extinguish fire that reportedly spread to some 200 kanals. However, the firefighters could not control the fire till the filing of this report.
Snake spotted in

A snake was spotted in a court of law in Choha Syedan Shah, terrifying the judge, staff and the litigants present in the courtroom on Tuesday.
According to details, Civil Judge Muhammad Asif was hearing the cases in his court when all of sudden a snake was spotted by the staff down a cupboard. The presence of the snake shocked the people present in the courtroom. The staff of the court, however, managed to kill the snake after hectic efforts.
The Public Works Department, which looks after the maintenance of the court, has been asked to undertake an extensive survey of the court area and surroundings to identify and plug any holes from which snakes could enter.
