Minister visits flood-hit areas

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Minister Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Punjab Malik Ahmed Ali visited the flood-hit areas of Ganda Singh Wala Kasur and personally monitored the relief activities being carried out there. The minister visited the Talwar Post, Sehjra, Basti Mahiwala, Kotli Fateh Khan and Pattan Dhopsarri and met flood affected people. At Pattan Dhopsarri, Ahmad Ali instructed the 1122 staff to enhance the number of boats for the transportation of flood affected people. During his visit concerned livestock officers informed the Minister that in 84 villages of Kasur pre-flood vaccination process had been completed while during flood 1.5 lakh animals had been vaccinated and 21,165 have been treated.
