LAHORE  -  PIA’s post-Haj operation will commence on Monday (today) and first post-Haj flights PK 3006 for Karachi and PK 3002 for Islamabad would return home with more than 700 pilgrims onboard. The first post-Haj flight to Lahore will arrive at 6am on August 28.

The pilgrims of first post-Haj flight PK3006 will be flown by Flight Operations chief Capt Uzair Khan who is overseeing the post-Haj operation.  Similarly, the pilgrims of PK 3002 will arrive at around 5pm at New Islamabad International Airport. PIA will operate 225 flights from Saudi Arabia. This includes flights from Madina and Jeddah through Haj and regular scheduled flights.  PIA CEO Musharraf Rasool Cyan has instructed PIA officials and Haj team members to successfully carry out the post-Haj operation and provide full support and assistance to returning pilgrims.

PIA will bring back more than 68,000 pilgrims through Haj and regular flights from Jeddah and Madina to Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Sialkot, Multan and Faisalabad stations. The post-Haj operation will conclude on September 25, spokesman for national carrier said.
