Monday's strike is the 9th of its kind since December. Though the frequency of the U.S. drone strikes in December is apparently less than that in November which witnessed a total of 17 times of strikes, the number of the people killed in December strikes is almost the same as that in the previous month, reaching about 80 so far. It is pertinent to mention that this year as many as 115 drone strikes have been recorded in the north-western tribal belt of Pakistan.
