LAHORE (APP) - Executive District Officer (EDO) Health Dr Umer Farooq Baloch has directed the department to start drive against artificial shortage of drugs. The elements involved in this heinous crime would be brought to book, he said in statement issued here on Sunday. He directed that concerned staff of Health Department to be vigilant in this regard. He issued instructions to all drug inspectors to inspect stores at their respective areas and ensure that drug makers or storekeepers were not involved in raising prices. He said that some black sheep were busy in self created shortage and in selling medicines at very high prices, adding that such persons would not be left unchecked. He urged the media and general public to unfold corrupt hands active behind the shortage of medicine so that strict action could be taken against them.
