Kashmiris' liberation struggle in totally indigenous: Syed Ali Gilani

In occupied Kashmir, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that Kashmiris' struggle for securing their right to self-determination is totally indigenous. According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani, who continues to remain under house arrest, in a telephonic address in Budgam to the activists of his party, Teheek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, said that India was trying to defame peaceful movement of the Kashmiri people by linking it to the international terrorism. The veteran Hurriyet leader maintained that New Delhi was non-serious to resolve the Kashmir dispute, adding, "The appointment of interlocutors and formation of working committees by India are only aimed at delaying the resolution of the dispute." Syed Ali Gilani said, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet is a political party with peaceful agenda but the puppet administration is treating it as a militant outfit. He said that the leaders and activists of his party were being targeted one by one. Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and youth languishing in various jails, Syed Ali Gilani urged the International Red Cross to take cognisance of the miserable plight of the detainees. He demanded immediate release of political prisoners including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mian Abdul Qayoom, Aasiya Andrabi, Qazi Yasir, Masarrat Alam Butt and Peer Saifullah.
