LAHORE - An Urdu lecturer in Government Post Graduate Islamia College for Women Cooper Road, Dr Rubina Shaista has brought to the notice of Chairman Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) that despite being an MPhil and PhD and having more than five research articles published in the book form and 21 years teaching experience to her credit, she has not been issued call letter for interview for the post of Assistant Prof. Urdu being held from December 24. Dr Rubina Shaista in her application to Chairman PPSC has stated that she has been teaching in various schools and colleges since 1989 and has M.Phil and Ph.D degrees as well as written five research articles which have been published in book form but she has not been called by PPSC for interview for the post of Assistant Prof. Urdu. She said that this policy on the part of PPSC to oblige its favorites is causing disappointment and despondency in the holders of highest degrees in the country. She said by giving preference to less experienced and simple master degree holders for interview PPSC has blatantly violated the merit policy. Dr Rubina Shaista in her application further stated that in case the demand of justice was not fulfilled, she will have the right to go to the court.
