MQM terms Punjab a police state

Reacting strongly to PML-N chief Nawaz Sharifs remarks, MQM leader Raza Haroon said those who were the part and parcel of corruption could never bring a revolution in the country, reported a private TV channel. In an exclusive chat, Raza said all the sloganeering about the good governance by the Sharif brothers was meant for political point-scoring only, as Punjab itself had become a police state, adding that Nawaz had never awarded party ticket to any poor person. It is pertinent to mention that the PML-N chief had criticised the MQM for the ending violence in Karachi. Raza Haroon said they were hopeful that President Asif Ali would take strict action against Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza for his irresponsible statement.
