Pasban activist killed

KARACHI - Three people including activists of Pasban were killed in the incidents of target killing and mishap in different parts of the metropolis on Sunday. An activist of Pasban was shot dead in North Karachi within the limits of Khawaja Ajmair Nagri police station. According to police the victim 28-year-old Irfan, son of Ghulam Abbas, resident of 5C-2, North Karachi, was sitting at his fish stall situated in Sector 5-C-3 North Karachi when two unidentified armed men on a motorbike reached there and opened firing on him, resultantly he died on the spot. Police shifted his body Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for legal formalities. They added that Irfan was the activist of Pasban, victim was unmarried and now days busy in the arrangement of his younger sister marriage. He further added that might be personal enmity is behind the incident. Later police handed over his body to the heirs after completing the legal formalities. Police found a bullet riddle body from Model Park Korangi in the limits of Zaman Town police station. Police said that the victim was later identified as 27-year-old Yousuf, s/o of Abdul Shakoor, resident of Taj Mustafa Colony Korangi. Police found his body from Model Park situated at Rahim Abad sector 3 1/2 Korangi. SHO Atif Shah said victim received one bullet on his head, police also found one bottle of wine and glass near his body, adding that police believed that during drinking his friend killed him and managed to escape the scene. Shah said victim was labourer and had no affiliation with any political or religious party. Police shifted his body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities and later handed over the body to his heirs. No case was registered till filing the report. A teenager was crushed to death while other injure at Native Jetty Bridge in the limits of Jackson police station.
