ISLAMABAD (PPI) - National Traders Alliance (NTA) on Sunday said that trading community unconditionally supports government's anti-corruption drive as it can offer a prosperous future to people of Pakistan. There will be no need to impose new taxes and carry begging bowl if this drive is taken seriously by all the concerned, said Malik Sohail Hussain, VP NTA, President Traders Welfare Association, Blue Area and former SVP, ICCI. Everyone should try its best to make it a success as it will unleash the potential of masses and business community which will guarantee a future, he said while speaking at a meeting. Our political leaders should also swallow bitter pill of paying taxes so that they have justification to ask masses about it, he said adding that Pakistan has no future without taxing agricultural income, he said. Malik Sohail said that President, Prime Minister and Interior Minister should take note of revengeful actions of FIA high-ups against honest officials and patronising those with questionable credentials. "NAB tainted officers should not be posted to sweep corruptions cases worth billion under the carpet in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa," he urged. The meeting was also attended by Chairman Blue Area Malik Sagheer, President NTA Islamabad and former VP ICCI, Ishtiaq Qureshi, Chairman Pharmaceutical Association Nasir Qureshi, President Jinnah Super Market Malik Rab Nawaz, President Super Market, Sarfaraz Mughal, President Blue Area East Hammad bin Arif, President F11 Syed Ibtida Kazmi, Liaquat Ali Noon, Haji Muhammad Naeem, Syed Amin Pirzada, Yusuf Rajput, Muhammad Hussain and other leaders. They said that they are proud of services of former director FIA, KP Fasihuddin who is from the rare breed of honest officers. Government should walk its talk about eradicating corruption so that country can be put on path of progress.
