QUETTA - Two people were killed when unidentified gunmen people fired shots at them in the provincial capital Monday.

According to police, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a group of people at the Eastern Bypass area of Quetta, killing two people on the spot and injuring a man critically.

The deceased were identified as Muhammad Jan Marri and Amir Humza while Jamshed Marri sustained critical wounds.

The law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and moved the bodies and injured to the Quetta Civil Hospital.

Police cited old enmity as motive behind the killing.

Meanwhile, two people were wounded in a landmine blast in Sui area of Dera Bugti. Sources said a landmine exploded when the motorcycle of two people hit with it.

Police moved them to hospital and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a woman and her two sons were suffocated to death after their gas heather consumed all the oxygen in the room.

According to police, Bibi Razia, a resident of Killi Sheikan in Kuchlak, slept with her two sons Khairullah, 10, and Murad Khan, 11, on Sunday night without turning off gas heater.

The heater consumed all the room oxygen, resulting in death of the woman and her two children. Police moved the bodies to hospital for autopsy.
